Service update: Upgraded 3.0 Telsa MRI now available

Dog within MRI

U-Vet Werribee Animal Hospital is pleased to announce that a new, state-of-the-art 3.0 Tesla MRI machine is now available. Upgraded from the previous 1.5 Tesla machine, this new equipment will allow us to obtain high quality images in a shorter time frame, improving our quality of clinical service.

The machine is operated by our diagnostic imaging technicians who are specifically trained to perform high quality veterinary MRI studies. They have developed tailored imaging protocols and advanced rapid scanning techniques to ensure that your animals are under anaesthesia for the shortest possible period of time.

As our specialist veterinary radiologists are based on-site, they are able to interpret images in real-time and make adjustments to image protocols as required. The diagnostic imaging team also work in combination with other U-Vet specialist areas including neurology, oncology, anesthesia, critical care, internal medicine, surgery and clinical pathology which ensures a seamless patient care experience.

How do I make an appointment?

All patients requiring an MRI at U-Vet must be referred by a veterinarian. Once referred, appointments can be made  by calling (03) 9731 2000.
