Dr Christine Lovatt

Resident in Emergency and Critical Care

Christine graduated from Murdoch University and spent time in private practice emergency and critical care in Perth prior to commencing a rotating internship at the University of Queensland. She then spent more time in emergency medicine in Canberra, before completing an around the country move down to Melbourne to continue her journey in ECC. She became a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) by examination in the field of emergency and critical care medicine in 2018.

Her professional/research interests are: the critical feline patient, including ensuring the emotional and mental needs of cats are met in the ICU. She also enjoys respiratory emergencies including management of the ventilator patient, polytrauma and sepsis.

She has a middle aged greyhound called Kitty, and a domestic shorthair kitten called Joey – both inherited from work! Her main interests include going to the beach with her dog, crocheting and sewing, and following motorsport.
