Dr Dayle Tyrrell
BSc BVMS (Hons) BVetBiol MVS GCUT FANZCVS (Radiology)
Dayle graduated from Murdoch University and following graduation completed a short research project before venturing to the University of Queensland to complete an internship in equine medicine and surgery. Over the course of the next 10 years she worked overseas, predominantly in England and was also lucky enough to work for 2 years at the University of Zimbabwe. Dayle began her diagnostic imaging residency at the University of Melbourne in 2002 and obtained Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Radiology in 2007. She is passionate about all aspects of imaging and the resident training program and loves the “light bulb” moments in student teaching. Dayle sees imaging as one piece of the diagnostic puzzle in the investigation of a sick animal and relishes being part of a hospital wide team who work collaboratively to solve the problem. Along with other colleagues Dayle is also actively involved in developing and delivering the communications curriculum through out the DVM and enjoys being a participant in the simulated consultation scenarios.
