Dr Elise Boller graduated from Colorado State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science before completing a small animal medical and surgical internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital. In 2005, she became a board-certified Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care following residency training at the University of Pennsylvania. She then practiced in a veterinary referral centre as an emergency and critical care specialist.

After two years in private practice, she returned to the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania where she served as a veterinarian in the intensive care unit for the five years preceding her appointment with the University of Melbourne, Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences. During this time, she was involved in clinical and didactic teaching of senior veterinary students, interns and residents.

Elise’s current interests include collaborative learning, sepsis, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
