Dr Emma Johnson
BVSc, MVS, MANZCVS
Emma graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from James Cook University in 2011. She then spent two and a half years in small animal practice prior to commencing a rotating internship at the University of Sydney in 2014, she then continued on as an anaesthesia and critical care intern. In 2016 Emma commenced a residency in anaesthesia and pain management at the University of Melbourne and anticipates sitting for her specialist examination in 2019. Her research focuses on aspects of regional anaesthesia, in particular the use of the Transversus Abdominis Plane block in canine patients. Emma has completed a Masters of Veterinary Studies in Small Animal Practice through Murdoch University and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in anaesthesia and critical care. Emma is interested in all aspects of anaesthesia, particularly local anaesthesia and enjoys sharing her knowledge in these areas.
