Dr Íde Gillespie

Emergency and Critical Care Clinician

Íde obtained a diploma in veterinary nursing from the University College Dublin in 2004 and earned her veterinary degree with honours from the University of Glasgow in 2012. Following graduation, she remained in Glasgow and completed two internships at VetsNow Referrals, the second being a focused Emergency and Critical Care internship. In 2015, she emigrated to Melbourne and is at present pursuing her ECC residency at U-Vet. Her professional interests include cardiopulmonary resuscitation, toxicology, mechanical ventilation, sepsis and shock, as well as teaching and client communication. Íde shares her life with her creative husband, her border terrier Gracie, and three cats, Oscar, Bodhi and Billie-Jean.
