Dr Jennifer Carter
DVM, CVPP, DACVAA
Jennifer graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She continued her postgraduate training at North Carolina State University with an internship in small animal medicine and surgery before completing a residency in anaesthesia and becoming a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiologists. Upon completion of her residency, Jennifer joined Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, where she taught veterinary students anesthesiology, part of which included supervision of students performing anaesthesia for small and large animal surgical laboratories. She also taught respiratory physiology. Jennifer became a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner with the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management in 2012. Throughout her professional career, Jennifer has authored peer-reviewed publications and has presented at a number of conferences in the USA. Her primary research and clinical interests are in the fields of pain management and haemodynamics. Jennifer has obtained more than $47,000 in research funding from various agencies over the last seven years and has supervised and mentored several veterinary research students at Ross University.
