Dr Simon Choi
Simon graduated with a Bachelors of Veterinary Science (with merit) from the University of Sydney in 2012. He worked as a primary care veterinarian in the northern suburbs of Victoria for 3 years before moving back to Sydney to complete a surgery internship at the Animal Referral Hospital. Following this he moved interstate once again to follow his passion for neurology and began a neurology internship at the University of Melbourne. He was accepted as a Neurology resident in 2017 and has begun his training at the University of Melbourne veterinary teaching hospital along with two other neurology residents and under the tutelage of Dr Matthias Le Chevoir. His current research project is based on non-infectious inflammatory diseases of the central nervous system in dogs and is looking to find ways of individualising treatment and preventing future relapses of these diseases.
